The Constance Hotel brings a flash of change to the city with its unique Street Art style and bright and fresh offerings, making it a must stay when you’re in the river city.
The contemporary boutique hotel is located in Fortitude Valley’s heart and is the cities only Street art hotel with vivid artworks by internationally known artists, and Brisbane’s own.
Some of the artists include Brisbane-raised Fintan Magee, Rone (Tyrone Everfresh), Numskull (aka Elliott Routledge), and Beastman (aka Bradley Eastman) adorning individual rooms and common areas from reception to the rooftop.
The site was bought in 2008 but not developed until 2013, during which time it became an underground haven for street artists.
When work began on the hotel, the developer and architect elected to preserve the street art and tracked down the original artists to commission new pieces.
The property now managed by boutique operator Lancemore Hotels took the downtime of COVID to refresh the property with a bright and vibrant new look and offerings.
The property has unique social spaces, artful fresh and clean rooms, and open plan spaces with some rooms backing onto private art laden courtyards.
Business is booming at The Constance with a wave of staycationers, road tripper, and business guests taking advantage of the venue’s prime location and excellent facilities.
The Constance’s rooftop shisha lounge, cocktail bar, and Turkish restaurant, Dirty Sultan, is open Thursday to Sunday evenings for guests to enjoy neo-Turkish street food and bespoke cocktails while kicking back and listening to international and modern hip-hop sounds.
The Rose Room the property’s ground floor cafe and event space are certainly not to be missed place while you are in the city, with great eats and a unique place for your next event.
