The Joi of Giving with Jesinta Campbell

JOICO Australia’s annual Christmas charity campaign The Joi of Giving has launched for 2015, with Australian model and media personality

JOICO Australia’s annual Christmas charity initiative, The Joi of Giving, is back for 2015—once again shining a light on the power of beauty and goodwill. Returning as ambassador is Australian model and media personality Jesinta Campbell, who has teamed up with JOICO and the Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia to help bring joy and hope to seriously ill children.

The campaign continues its mission to bridge the glamorous worlds of fashion and beauty with meaningful charitable impact. Since its launch, JOICO Australia has proudly partnered with one of the country’s most respected organisations, the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

A portion of the sales from JOICO’s salon-only Christmas Gift Sets goes directly toward making dreams come true for children supported by the foundation. This festive gesture is a heartfelt way to give back during the holiday season.

This year’s campaign shoot marked a bold change in Jesinta’s signature look, following her decision to chop her hair into a chic shorter style.

“I loved being able to experiment with the longer-haired looks for the campaign shoot!” Jesinta shared. “We achieved so many different styles in one day—at times I felt completely transformed, like a whole new person.”

Reflecting on the final campaign, Jesinta added,

“I love the final images. It’s definitely one of my most exciting shoots to date.”

These JOICO Christmas Gift Sets are more than just great hair gifts—they’re a way to give back. Every purchase helps support the incredible work of the Starlight Foundation, and they’re available exclusively from JOICO Professional Salons nationwide.

What does your role as ambassador for JOICO’s ‘Joi of Giving’ campaign mean to you?
I’m so thrilled to be on board for a second year. The campaign is all about raising awareness and funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation over the festive season. After visiting the Starlight Room last year, I saw first-hand how this campaign truly impacts the lives of sick children and their families. It was a powerful reminder of how precious life is.

What inspired you to return for a second year?
Being part of this campaign had a lasting effect on me. When you’re in the public eye, you’re given a platform—and I’ve always felt a responsibility to use it meaningfully. Giving back to those less fortunate is something I hold close to my heart.

Visiting the Starlight Express Room and speaking to the children and their families was unforgettable. I even gave out some Sydney Swans tickets throughout the year, which was such a simple thing but hopefully brought a bit of joy and a welcome distraction from the hospital.

The incredible creative team behind last year’s campaign was also a big reason I was excited to return.

What does Christmas mean to you personally?
For me, Christmas is all about family. Life gets so hectic, so this time of year is a chance to slow down, relax, and really enjoy quality time with the people I love most. My fondest holiday memories always revolve around that sense of togetherness.!
