The Temper Trap writing for a new record at La Casa plus Dylan Rieder & Natas Kaupas, Kassia Meador, Sharon Van Etten and more Word. Is. Out. La Casa Artist Residency, the idyllic beachside haven for artists and creators of all persuasions, has been a hive of activity of late with a steady stream of musicians, surfers, artists and skaters. We are proud to release our latest video of The Temper Trap, which offers an insight into their writing process. Over two recent stays at La Casa, The Temper Trap recorded a number of tracks for their next album with LA producer Malay, who recently picked up a Grammy Award for his work on Frank Ocean’s acclaimed album Channel Orange. Natas Kaupas and Dylan Rieder / the master and the prodigy. So these two dropped by and they needed somewhere to skate so La Casa built them the most picturesque ramp…anywhere. Perched on the edge of the waves. Natas took to it with his brush. You can check it all out in two videos coming out soon. Kassia Meador…surfer, photographer, artist and adventurer. Kassia came, she painted a teepee, made a pyramid, created some music, was generally awesome. You can check it all out soon. And La Casa was super excited to have the supremely talented Sharon Van Etten in residence. Sharon recorded some beautiful tracks in La Casa’s studio.
