Elite athlete, qualified personal trainer, and proud Gold Coast local Tori Singleton – known to her growing online community as @ttorisstory – has officially stepped into the spotlight as Kic’s newest strength trainer. Her debut program Own the Gym is live in the Kic app, launching a new era of strength training focused on mindset, intention, and confidence.
Joining the global wellness platform Kic, which supports a community of over 2.5 million, Tori Singleton brings her unique approach to fitness that’s grounded in sustainable progress and personal empowerment. Her four-week gym-based challenge is a call for women to tune out external noise and take up space in the weight room.
“We know that one in three women in the Kic community feel too intimidated to start strength training, over 50% feel overwhelmed progressing it, and 72% struggle with motivation,” said Kic CEO and co-founder Laura Henshaw. “Tori is so aligned with our mission to support women through movement that builds confidence, not comparison.”
Tori’s journey to this point has been anything but linear. With a background in gymnastics and acrobatics, she has developed a deep understanding of body control, form, and the demands of high-performance sport. But it was her personal experience with body changes and burnout that led her to reimagine how women can approach strength training.
“I used to think that more was more in the gym,” Tori said. “But when I stripped it back, focused on form, and trained with intention, that’s when I saw real progress.”
That philosophy is the foundation of Own the Gym, which is now available in the Kic app. The challenge champions intentionality over intensity, designed to meet users wherever they are in their fitness journey. From beginners facing down the cable machine for the first time to seasoned gym-goers ready to level up, every workout is adaptable and goal-oriented.
Participants can expect:
- A sustainable, anti-burnout training approach
- Strength workouts using free weights, cable machines, barbells, benches, and more
- Flexible 2–4 day weekly training schedules
- Foundational movement patterns with progressive overload

“This challenge focuses on intentional training over intensity and is perfect for gym-goers of all stages,” Tori explained. “It will empower users to sustainably work towards their strength goals, leaving them feeling more confident in the gym, along with increased strength and stability.”
