The stark truth is that one in five Aussie kids is starting their day without breakfast, which is only likely to rise as the cost of living bights down on Aussie families.
After the overwhelming success of the Triple M Tuckshop in 2022, the Triple M brekkie trio are taking their own Tuckshop to local Gold Coast schools for breakfast; they will broadcast their show live, and with Harris Farm Markets, they’ll serve up a free and healthy breakfast for the kids.
Kicking off at William Duncan State Primary School in Nerang, the team will be broadcasting live with special guests AFLW players Kalinda Howarth and Wallis Randell!
“Spida, Flan and I are parents, and we know firsthand how important breakfast is for kids. Without brekkie kids find it harder to concentrate, socialise, learn and play. Brekkie is by far the most important meal of the day for our growing kids, and these statistics are concerning and really sad. We know how much pressure families are under, so we’d like to acknowledge that and help out,” said Triple M Breakfast’s Ali Plath.
“In really exciting news, we are again teaming up with Harris Farm Markets from the Isle of Capri to make brekkie even better, healthier and super fresh!”
The family-owned and operated Harris Farm Markets at the Isle of Capri have jumped at the chance to promote the healthy brekkie message, they are proud to serve up more than 500 lines of fruit and veg, more than 400 cheeses, a butcher and fish market, bakery, pour your own milk stations, BioSota Honey on tap, make-your-own Nut Butters and more. And they just announced this week there are no more artificial colours in any products on their shelves
