VAMFF Australia's biggest Celebration of Style and Fashion for 2017

Last week the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival wrapped up over two weeks of style in the world’s most livable city.
The festival is Australias largest consumer fashion event including world-class runway shows featuring our country’s best established and emerging designers.

The festival is a celebration of fashion and the arts with a series  of events across the 19-day program;

We kicked off our coverage at the Fashion Advocates Runway which brought together a list of Australias best independent labels showcasing the fresh, quirky and quintessential look of Australia fashion with a strong focus on local production and ethical manufacturing.
Designers DIIDA, Habadakas, Vincent Li, FOOL, and Loreza the Label featured along with several other sensational designers on the evening.

We then pulled up a chair runaway side for the Gala Runway this is the biggest lineup of Designers at the festival featuring collections from Australias favourites,  Bassike, Bec & Bridge, Camilla, CAMILLA and MARC, Christopher Esber, Jac + Jack, Jack London, KITX, Manning Cartell, macgraw, Scanlan Theodore, Viktoria + Woods.

With David Jones Ambassadors Jesinta Franklin, Jesica Gomes headlining the show and the crowd packed with a flurry of Iconic names and fashion icons the stage was set.

A Week of Runway shows lay ahead we were excited to see what fashion was in store for 2017 with leading and emerging designers set to showcase their wares across six Premium Runway Shows brought to you by some of the biggest names in fashion Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Shop til you drop, Instyle.

Here are some of our favourite snaps from the runway

The Next show on our wrap is always an impressive collection of style and fun the Myer Fashion runway with its VIP Shopping event, headlined by the superb Jennifer Hawkins and honourable mentions also to Kris Smith and Tim Robards.
Designers cut as Cue, Nicola Finetti, Sass & Bide, Talulah, Topshop and Politix just to name a few
