Defending Supercars Champion Shane Van Gisbergen has finished a weekend of dominance in Adelaide, claiming his second Clipsal 500 crown with a win in what can only be described as an action-packed race yesterday afternoon.
It was another memorable start to the Supercars season, with rising star Scott Mclaughlin holding the lead of the final race of the weekend for 75 of the 78 laps.
with Shane closing in over the final laps, Mclaughlin locked his brakes, allowing Van Gisbergen to pass and claim his second Clipsal 500 title.
” Just as I got to him, I saw his big moment,” Van Gisbergen said.
The 28-year old says there is still more improvements to be made to the Redbull Racing Commodore and we are excited to see its performance across the season.
