Village Roadshow Theme Parks Close Due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred

Village Roadshow Theme Parks has announced the temporary closure of several attractions due to the approaching Tropical Cyclone Alfred. Following advice from the City of Gold Coast’s Disaster Management Team, the company has confirmed that Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Wet’n’Wild, Paradise Country, Australian Outback Spectacular, and Topgolf will be closed from Wednesday, 5th March, to Friday, 7th March, inclusive.

The decision has been made to prioritise the safety of visitors, staff, and animals. However, Sea World Resort will remain open throughout the weather event.

The closures will impact guests with planned visits and pre-booked experiences across multiple venues. The latest schedule includes:

Guests who have booked additional experiences, such as Animal Adventures, will be contacted directly by the Village Roadshow Theme Parks team.

Animal Care and Essential Services to Continue

While the parks will be temporarily closed, critical support teams will remain on-site to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the animals. Village Roadshow Theme Parks has assured visitors that animal care staff will continue their duties throughout the weather event.
