The past V8 Supercars race weekend was trying for Volvo Polestar Racing drivers Scott McLaughlin and Robert Dahlgren. But the team is aiming to bounce back this weekend at Queensland Raceway with new changes made to the Volvo S60 race cars. ”We won here last year and we have a faster car now than last year. So I am pretty confident ahead of this weekend,” said McLaughlin. Swedish driver Dahlgren makes his debut at Queensland Raceway and is hoping to score his best result of the year this weekend. ”It looks like a nice track with quite a few overtaking opportunities. I am really looking forward to it and can’t wait to race there,” said Dahlgren. While McLaughlin was competitive in qualifying in the last race, the speed for the top three was not there, something the Kiwi hopes to have changed in the three-week break. ”Our qualifying average is still good and that is very important. We are loosing a little bit over a race distance, but not much. The team has made a solid amount of changes during the break, hopefully it will be enough to be on par with the top runners. Our aim is still for the top five and to keep the points coming through,” said McLaughlin.]]>
