Volvo Polestar Racing’s 650 HP Volvo S60 Polestar V8 Supercar was unveiled for the Australian press by driving with police escort over the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge Kiwi Scott McLaughlin, team mate to Robert Dahlgren, drove the race car on the streets of Sydney to the press conference. “It is a once in a life time thing, driving your own race car over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Seriously cool thing, can’t thank Volvo, Polestar and GRM enough. I felt pretty important obviously with all the flashing lights around me, I am happy that they were in front of me and not behind chasing me,” said McLaughlin with a smile. Volvo, Polestar and GRM are headed to Sydney Motorsport Park where McLaughlin and Dahlgren are going to take part in the first official V8 Supercars test of 2014 on Saturday, February 15.
