Winter Igloo Dining Lands at JW Marriott Gold Coast

Experience luxury winter igloo dining at the JW Marriott Gold Coast with a six-course menu under the stars. Book your dome today.

This winter, JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa invites you to experience the magic of the season with the launch of Private Dining Under the Stars. Set beside the resort’s iconic saltwater lagoon, this intimate luxury dining experience offers couples and small groups the chance to retreat into a secluded winter oasis. Guests will dine inside their own beautifully styled all-weather igloo dome, complete with soft fairy lights, personalised service, and tranquil waterfront views beneath the night sky.

A Tropical Winter Escape

While winter dining often brings to mind snowy alpine destinations, this new offering brings a distinctly Gold Coast take on the trend. Framed by swaying palms and the shimmering saltwater lagoon, the experience provides a rare opportunity to enjoy a winter escape without leaving Queensland. Whether you are planning a celebration, an anniversary, a proposal, or simply an unforgettable evening, the private domes offer a truly immersive outdoor setting.

A Refined Six-Course Menu

The culinary journey has been curated by Director of Culinary Paul Smart and the award-winning team behind the resort’s chef-hatted restaurant, Citrique. Your evening begins with a glass of Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut alongside a 30g tin of premium caviar. From there, you are treated to a refined six-course menu that showcases premium Australian produce and seasonal flavours, expertly matched with premium wines from Australia and abroad.

Menu highlights include Beetroot & Goats’ Cheese Involtini, and Seared Scallops with Chorizo paired with Craggy Range ‘Martinborough’ Sauvignon Blanc. Diners will also enjoy the Chef’s Signature Moreton Bay Bug Dumplings paired with Kellerei Kaltern Pinot Grigio, Oven-Baked Snow Fish paired with Collector ‘Tiger Tiger’ Chardonnay, and Wagyu Steak MB 8–9 matched with Leeuwin Estate Prelude Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon. The meal concludes beautifully with the JW Citrus Illusion Dessert served with Alasia Moscato d’Asti.

Director of Culinary Paul Smart noted that the offering was designed to bring something truly unique to the Gold Coast winter.

“Private Dining Under the Stars combines the intimacy of a secluded dining experience with the exceptional cuisine and service that 2-hatted restaurant Citrique is renowned for. We wanted to create a winter offering that feels luxurious, romantic and completely transportive, allowing guests to slow down and enjoy an unforgettable evening beside our iconic lagoon under the stars,” said Smart.
