The WSL season is only a 48 hours away from kicking off at the iconic Banzai Pipeline, where rookies and world champions are looking to kickstart their 2023 campaign in style.

The Billabong Pro Pipeline competition window opens on January 29 and goes through until February 10, a win here cements one into surfing history. A solid finish here gives surfers momentum going into the season and confidence at all other waves of consequence on tour.

Who could forget the fairytale finish last year when Kelly Slater took victory over Seth Moniz and claimed another Pipeline title thirty years after his first… will Kelly defend his pipeline crown in 2023.

He will have to fight off three-time WSL Champion Gabriel Medina and two-time WSL Champion John John Florence, who make their highly anticipated returns to the jersey.
