Zumba the worldwide phenomenon that has had over 15 million of us shake dance and sweat as part of its fun-filled classes each week, is headed to the Gold Coast to celebrate 10 years of Zumba in Oz.
More than 1,100 Zumba fanatics from all corners the Pacific will converge on our city this weekend to celebrate the fun-filled decade with Colombian dancer and choreographer megastar, and Zumba co-founder Beto Perez.
What started as a dream in 1999 and exploded into a global sensation that coined the term ‘fitness parties’ and blends upbeat world rhythms with easy flowing moves that provides an effective full-body workout.
The sold-out masterclass will take place on the coast this weekend wit Zumba fanatics getting the chance to meet Beto face to face and celebrate the milestone down-under.
Zumbashop Australia Owner Director, Shantelle Hayward is the local businesswoman behind the upcoming event, she said the response to the Saturday Master Class has been so overwhelming they’d extended the weekends activities.
“This is only the second time in Zumba’s history that Beto will visit Australia. Whilst we expected there would be strong demand we never could have imagined just how popular these events would be,” said Ms Hayward.
“We’ve got people travelling from every state in Australia, as well as New Zealand and even further abroad including Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Japan, Malaysia and the USA it’s incredible.
