A new chapter for Armin van Buuren with Balance

It’s not long now until Armin van Buuren heads down under for the much-anticipated series of Festival X shows set to kick off a phenomenal summer of music.

It’s been a massive few weeks for the industry legend, scoring his eighteenth consecutive top-five spot in the DJ Mag Top 100, and unleashing his aptly named seventh album “Balance”.

As stated by Armin, the album is about thinking in possibilities rather than definition, thinking about what music could be instead of what it should be. ” Every song I make teaches me something new, and the next song is always a result of all of my previous records, the new things I learned and the people I’ve met. “

The feature track of the album ‘ Unlove You ‘ features R&B legend Ne-Yo whose distinct vocals combine perfectly with Armin’s trademark uplifting sounds to deliver what we’re sure is one of the songs of summer.

The forward of the album provides a unique insight into the creative process of an industry legend ” Over the years, this process and especially the fun of creating became more and more to me. It’s a journey that gives me meaning and help me learn more about my interests rather than focus on the recognition I get for the outcome. That’s the most significant difference between who I am today and who I was just a few years ago, ‘ Balance’ is a new chapter in my book of life, and the result of venturing into known and unknown territories while finding the balance in between.
