Amy Shark, has signed a worldwide recording deal with Wonderlick Entertainment in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment. The contemplative singer-songwriter, who recently released the Triple J favourite, ‘Adore’, looks set to make her mark on the international music industry. The record deal was signed earlier this week with Wonderlick Director Stu MacQueen saying, ”There was a lot of interest in Amy from labels around the world, so we are thrilled that she has chosen to join the Wonderlick family. We look forward to working with our label partners at Sony Music here in Australia, and internationally, to help Amy build the long term career success she deserves”. Amy Shark added, “After meeting with the Wonderlick team and Denis Handlin at Sony, I felt right at home. I am so excited to now focus all my energy on my music”. ‘Adore’ is the brooding, coming-of-age track that has resonated with its soaring melody and empathetic storytelling. On release the track quickly hit the #1 spot on the Spotify local and viral charts, and has recently reached the Top 40 on ITunes. Adore is also currently one of the Top 5 Australian artist songs on the Shazam chart. The sparse but evocative Adore was produced by Grammy Award winning Australian producer M-Phazes (Eminem, Daniel Johns, Illy), and the video for the single was shot and directed by Amy herself. Clearly an incredible talent, Amy was awarded the 2016 Queensland Music Award for Pop Song of the Year with earlier single, ‘Golden Fleece’ and has supported the likes of Matt Corby, Dylan Joel and The Delta Riggs. On Friday , Amy hit the Triple J studios to play an emotional, stripped back version of ‘Adore’, before being joined by her band to deliver a fresh and powerful Like A Version rendition of the classic Silverchair song, ‘Miss You Love’ which you can check out here – http://smarturl.it/ASALAV. ‘Adore’ is available now. visit http://www.amyshark.com]]>
