Young Henrys is cranking the volume up to 11 this winter, with their fan-favourite mini-festival, Best Served Loud, making its much-anticipated return to the Gold Coast’s beloved Miami Marketta on Saturday 5 July. Known for blending killer music with even better beer, Best Served Loud is shaping up to be the ultimate night out, dishing up a stacked bill of Aussie trailblazers and a healthy pour of the signature Young Henrys vibes.

At the heart of it all? A lineup that does anything but play it safe.

Shady Nasty Take the Lead

Leading the charge is none other than Sydney’s genre-defying trio, Shady Nasty. A band that’s built a name for themselves by refusing to be boxed in, their sound fuses gritty post-punk with hip hop influences, and their live shows are nothing short of explosive. Their 2025 debut album TREK has already stirred serious noise across the scene, and with international tours under their belt across the UK and Europe, Shady Nasty are bringing their global momentum home to the Gold Coast for a performance that promises to be wild, weird and completely unforgettable.

Girl and Girl Bring It Home

Joining them is Girl and Girl, the indie rockers born on the Gold Coast and now based in Brisbane. After captivating local crowds with their unique twist on guitar rock, their 2024 debut album Call A Doctor catapulted them to international attention. NME called the album “brilliantly bonkers indie rock,” and it’s easy to see why – they’ve since landed on Rolling Stone’s ‘Best of SXSW’ and NME’s ‘10 Essential Acts’ at the 2024 edition of the iconic Austin showcase. Their upcoming set at Miami Marketta marks a triumphant homecoming that’s sure to stir up some serious energy.

Live and Loud

But Best Served Loud doesn’t stop there. Also gracing the stage are Sydney’s The Beefs, a group who describe their sound as “pub-pop” – think nostalgia-laced rock anthems with a good dose of Aussie humour and irresistible stage presence. Their live sets are the kind that pull in a crowd and keep them there, pint in hand and smile firmly in place.

Representing the Northern Rivers with their sun-drenched charm, The Colliflowers are set to electrify the Miami Marketta with their signature blend of indie rock warmth. Fresh off the release of their single ‘The Streets’ and tour slots alongside DICE and The Vanns, they’re no strangers to commanding a crowd – and the Gold Coast is next on their list.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Young Henrys event without their signature brews front and centre. Best Served Loud is renowned not just for its stellar lineups, but for serving them alongside exclusive drink specials featuring Young Henrys’ most beloved beers. It’s a sensory experience all-round: music for the ears, beer for the soul.

This isn’t Best Served Loud’s first rodeo. With a track record that includes previous performances from the likes of King Stingray, Teenage Joans, The Terrys and Full Moon Flower Band, the event has become a staple for discovering what’s next in the Australian live music landscape. Spanning across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, the series consistently champions artists with something fresh to say – and a whole lot of talent to back it up.

“Over 10 years in the business, Young Henrys continue to champion Australia’s live music and arts culture,” the event notes, “with Best Served Loud a come-to-be icon in their delivery of this mission statement.”

Best Served Loud, Rally the Crew

Between the genre-bending bands, cold beers and unbeatable vibes, Best Served Loud is shaping up to be one of the best nights out on the Gold Coast this July. If you’re into discovering rising acts before they blow up – or just want to sink a few with mates while soaking in live music – this mini-festival has you covered.

So, round up the crew, lock in Saturday 5 July, and make your way to Miami Marketta for a night where the music’s loud, the drinks are cold, and the energy is nothing short of electric. Tickets are on sale now – snatch ’em up before they go.
