Get ready, fashion lovers! Brisbane Fashion Festival is returning to the River City for its 16th year, with an expanded program of stylish events over five days from Monday 21st – Friday 25th August  2023.

The festival is Queensland’s largest and most prestigious fashion event; returning once again to King Georges Square and City Hall,  the 2023 event is expected to welcome upwards of 3,000 guests across an array of runway shows and activations; Festival Director Lindsay Bennett is thrilled to announce initial plans for the 2023 event.

“As Queensland’s premier annual fashion event, Brisbane Fashion Festival provides a vital platform to celebrate our local design talent on a world-class stage, connecting designers and retailers with an audience of fashion media, industry representatives, and most importantly, potential customers,” Mr Bennett says.

After selling out in 2022, This year’s festival will feature an expanded program of events across the five days, welcoming a greater number of fashion fans and showcasing a larger number of designers and retailers.

The 2023 Brisbane Fashion Festival will launch with the return of the much-loved fashion High Tea series; and deliver the excitement of jam-packed runway shows featuring Queensland, Australian, and next-gen fashion designers. Plus, exciting new events are also in the works.

Brisbane’s  Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said he was proud to welcome the Fashion Festival to Brisbane once again. “The Brisbane Fashion Festival is a staple in the city’s events calendar, bringing the streets to life with runway shows, foodie events, and some of our best local and national styles on show,” Cr Schrinner said.

“Each year this event creates a great ripple effect on local designers, retailers, bars and restaurants while directly supporting hundreds of local jobs.

“We can’t wait to see the festival return bigger and better this year.”

The event remains steadfast in its dedication to driving fashion retail for Queensland; attendees can expect can expect a spectacular line-up of Queensland and Australian designers, both established and emerging, with all the raw creativity, spectacular aesthetics, and inspiring runway moments audiences have come to anticipate from this premier annual event.

The full program for Brisbane Fashion Festival 2023 will be released on May 31.

Tickets will go on sale Thursday 1st of June, via the festival ticketing partner Ticketek.
