Behind the Scenes with Amy Shark at The Star’s VIP Celebration

Amy Shark’s new role with The Star Gold Coast kicked off with an unforgettable night. Acoustic vibes, VIP guests, and a lot of heart

The Gold Coast lit up as homegrown music icon Amy Shark was officially unveiled as The Star Gold Coast’s new entertainment ambassador. In a night that blurred the line between backstage pass and intimate party, 50 of Queensland’s top tastemakers gathered at The Darling’s Penthouse Deluxe Media Suite for a vibrant celebration dubbed For the Record.

Every detail was Amy — from polaroid photo ops and karaoke sessions to cocktails named after her hits and even a giant Italian cheese wheel inspired by her latest album art. Guests, including David Subritzky, Lynn Gilmartin, the Sheppard siblings and Gold Coast Titans stars, were treated to a live acoustic performance featuring “Adore”, “Can I Shower At Yours” and “I Said Hi”.

“This feels like a homecoming,” Amy said. “It’s where I grew up, where I started, and I’m excited to help shape unforgettable moments in my hometown.”

The partnership marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for both Amy and The Star, with a series of special events and experiences rolling out into 2026.

You can book the Media Penthouse Suite at The Darling, where the announcement event and exclusive performance were held. There’s even a few Amy Shark inspired touches left in place. For booking enquiries please email: reservationsgc@star.com.au
