Casey Barnes is set to ' Light it Up ' with a new album and tour

In a perfect world, Australia's next major country music export and local legend Casey Barnes would be shopping his new album around America right now.

In a perfect world, Australia’s next major country music export and local legend Casey Barnes would be shopping his new album around America right now.

However, a global pandemic derailed the best-laid plans, and Casey Barnes spent the last two years collaborating on a new album from a studio on the Gold Coast.
Painstakingly crafted with producers and co-writers from around the globe using Zoom to create, curate and collect everything to bring Light it Up to life.

The album is littered with hits, including the record lead single ‘Come on Turn Me On, which became the number one song on Country Radio for 2021 in Australia, and his follow up single, God Took His Time on You, also graced number one.

“The silver lining of the pandemic was that it backed me into a corner I’d never been in before and forced me to take some personal risks I never would have taken. I played different types of shows, I wrote differently, and most importantly, I really took stock of who I was as a person. As a husband. As a father.”

“In many ways, having the rug pulled from under me was a blessing in disguise. It allowed me the chance to start fresh and attack this album with everything I had. I didn’t want to leave anything on the table this time, and I think I’ve come out the other side with a body of work I couldn’t have dreamed of eighteen months ago.” Casey said.

Casey Barnes’s sixth studio album contains a prodigious collection of anthemic, stadium-ready country-pop, focusing on everything from small-town romance and larger-than-life love to facing hardship head-on, getting knocked down and forcing yourself to get back up again.

After releasing his album, Casey is embarking on a huge run of shows around Australia after his last tour was cut short due to major lockdowns on the East Coast.

The Light it Up Tour, is the first chance for many fans to catch live performances of songs from both albums; the tour kicked off in Tasmania and heads to New South Wales, ACT, Victoria, South Australia and even includes a spectacular hometown show on the Gold Coast.
