Celebrating Lunar New Year at The Star Gold Coast

The Star Gold Coast has put on an array of celebrations for the Lunar New Year and usher in the year of the OX

It’s been an up and down start to the traditional new year but the celebration of the Lunar New Year brings an opportunity for a restart and plenty of fun and prosperity hopefully.

The Star Gold Coast has put on an array of celebrations for the Lunar New Year and usher in the year of the OX in its unique fun and stylish way with festivities kicking off on the 11th and going through until the 26th.

Calling Gold Coasters, their families and their friends to celebrate with opulent dining experiences and mouth-watering special menus as well as live entertainment that’s sure to excite.

Last week we went in and enjoyed an evening of fine dining at the Imperial at Star restaurant with a great and tasty menu just for the celebrations and took a moment dancing with the lion and listening to the traditional drums and firecrackers it was great fun indeed.

If you stop in at the Imperial, I suggest grabbing a few things off the Year of the Ox Menu my favourite dish had to be the “Healthy Body and Mind” aka the Crispy crackling pork.

A dazzling array of free, live entertainment and elaborate decorations during the Lunar New Year period including lion dancers and firecrackers. The traditional lion dance begins with a bang as firecrackers are lit at the property’s main entrance. The dancers weave their way through the Atrium and Imperial at the Star restaurant, before dancing through The Darling Lobby to end the performance in the main foyer.

So if you’re looking for a night with a difference pop into The Star Gold Coast and celebrate the Lunar new year in a fun and unique way.
