The Hotel is part of a movement breathing new life into some of the cities iconic landmarks, only steps away from the Howard Smith Wharves and Petries Bight Precinct which makes it the perfect stay for seasoned travellers or those weekend Staycationers stopping in to spend some time in the city.
The Brisbane Marriott indeed is one of the best places to stay if you’re looking for that five-star luxury, and being close to all the attractions that Brisbane has to offer.
The properties recent renovations have seen the hotels two hundred sixty-seven rooms and suites and signature restaurant all transformed to a modern level of luxury the Marriott is known for worldwide.
The hotel is also set to celebrate its coming of age this year turning 21, with its new feel and style that signifies the property and the city of Brisbane’s transition to a vibrant and social entertainment hub.
We spent the night in the river city for our event commitments for Miss Universe Australia, and at the end of the night we retired back to the hotel kicked up our feet. Morning arrives and being an early riser I awoke to the stunning sunrise across Brisbane beaming down onto the Storybridge and the city skyline and splashed across the iconic Kangaroo Point Cliffs.
The rooms are nicely appointed with all the creature comforts, grand bed heads, plenty of space and soothing earthy tones and textured furnishings that look amazing with that sunrise or sunset and all the tech inclusions for the modern traveller.
Brisbane Marriott General Manager, John Douglas said careful consideration was given to the hotel’s unique natural and historic surroundings, and these details were effortlessly incorporated it into the new design to create a sensory experience for our guests.
“From the use of ambient lighting throughout the hotel, reminiscent of a balmy Brisbane evening to the colour palette utilised in the every hotel room, or the specially selected amber tones that highlight the city’s skyline at sunset with every element of the hotel created as a tribute to the Brisbane region.
For those of you who love to kick it up and explore or enjoy the facilities, you have plenty of options with the hotel having its own undercover outdoor pool and 24-hour gym complete with views of the Brisbane River or head for a run along the Riverwalk
Or for those of us who like to do a little more kicking back and relaxing, you should try the in house spa; Dome Spa retreat will look after you and rejuvenate you nicely before a beautiful night out on the town.
