Crowded House are returning to Queensland with a bang as part of the highly anticipated Red Hot Summer Tour 2025 — and Gold Coast fans are in for something truly special. On Sunday 16th November, the legendary band will take the stage at Broadwater Parklands, Southport, for an 18+ show that promises to be one of the highlights of the national tour.
As one of the world’s most iconic and spellbinding bands, Crowded House need no introduction. With over 15 million records sold globally, a Brit Award, 13 ARIA Awards, 3 Aotearoa Music Awards and even an MTV VMA under their belt, the band have consistently drawn huge audiences and rave reviews for nearly four decades. Their timeless anthems — including the global hits “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Something So Strong” — have earned them billions of streams and countless covers from artists as varied as Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande and U2.
The current line-up — Neil Finn, Nick Seymour, Mitchell Froom, and Neil’s sons Elroy and Liam Finn — recently released their eighth studio album, Gravity Stairs, to glowing reviews. Co-produced with Steven Schram, the album is a showcase of the group’s enduring creativity and musical connection.
Gold Coast concertgoers will witness a rare outdoor performance by the band, known for delivering emotionally charged sets steeped in melody and lyrical finesse. From Neil Finn’s early Split Enz days to his Fleetwood Mac chapter and back to leading Crowded House, this tour marks yet another defining moment in a career that continues to evolve and inspire.
But the excitement doesn’t stop with Crowded House. The Gold Coast show will also feature an all-Australian line-up including the folk-pop magic of Angus & Julia Stone, post-punk legends The Church, powerhouse ensemble Mark Seymour with Vika & Linda, and the ever-authentic The Waifs.
Angus & Julia Stone, famous for their hit “Big Jet Plane” and the globally successful Down The Way, are bringing both classics and fresh material ahead of a new record in 2026. With sold-out international tours and over 600 million streams to their name, the sibling duo are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Also on the bill are ARIA Hall of Fame inductees The Church, whose genre-defying sound has kept them at the forefront of Australian music since their early days in Sydney’s underground. Add to that the commanding trio of Mark Seymour and vocal dynamos Vika & Linda — returning after their successful 2023 Red Hot Summer run — and the crowd is in for a show brimming with stories, harmonies, and raw emotion.
Rounding out the line-up are The Waifs, the beloved indie folk heroes from Western Australia, known for their deeply relatable lyrics and relentless touring spirit. With eight LPs and two live albums under their belt, they remain one of the country’s most enduring and self-made success stories.
This Red Hot Summer Tour date on the Gold Coast is one not to be missed. With a world-class bill, a picturesque outdoor venue, and the chance to see Crowded House up close, fans should prepare for an unforgettable night of music under the stars.
