Now the cooler months are starting to roll into Northern New South Wales, the crew at Stone & Wood are thrilled to share the lineup for Festival of the Stone 2026. Returning to the Byron Bay brewery on Saturday 20 June, this beloved twelfth annual fixture on the music festival calendar promises an evening dedicated to live Australian music, fresh brews, and community spirit. Fans from near and far will come together for Byron Bay’s favourite winter gathering, celebrating good times in a welcoming environment.

A Winter Tradition for a Good Cause

At the core of Festival of the Stone is the annual tapping of the much loved Stone Beer. This rich, limited edition winter release is crafted as an homage to traditional brewing methods. It is brewed the old school way, specifically utilising stones heated over a wood fire to create its distinct flavour profile. The festival provides a moment to celebrate the cooler weather alongside great music and fresh pours.

Beyond the music and the beer, the festival remains deeply committed to community support. Once again, the event will raise funds for Fletcher Street Cottage. This local community hub provides essential support for people experiencing homelessness and hardship in the Byron Shire, ensuring that the enjoyment of the festival creates a positive impact.

An Impressive Australian Lineup

The 2026 stage will host a stellar roster of Australian talent, offering a mix of indie rock, classic chords, and high voltage energy.

South Coast rockers Pacific Avenue will bring their sun soaked blend of classic rock and heartfelt ballads to the brewery. Fronted by the unmistakable vocals and songwriting of Harry O’Brien, the band has cemented their place in the Australian music landscape. Their 2023 debut album Flowers debuted at number one on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart and earned multiple ARIA and AIR Award nominations. Backed by strong support from triple j and Triple M, alongside millions of global streams, the band has toured extensively both domestically and internationally. With their sophomore album Lovesick Sentimental hot off the press, they are set to play new tracks alongside established favourites.

Joining them is Sydney South Coast singer songwriter Ruby Fields, who has carved out a devoted following through her sharp, relatable storytelling. Blending indie rock chords with a punk edged delivery and deceptively simple but poignant lyrics, Fields burst onto the national scene in 2017 when triple j played her debut single “I Want” on the exact same day it was uploaded to Unearthed. She has since sold out multiple national tours, performed to crowds exceeding 20,000 at Splendour In The Grass, toured the United Kingdom, and delivered a coveted Like A Version for triple j. Her debut album Been Doin’ It For A Bit also hit number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, solidifying her reputation as one of the most compelling young songwriters in the country.

Sydney indie rockers Dear Seattle are heading to Byron Bay fresh from topping the ARIA Albums Chart with their third studio release, TOY. The four piece band has reached new creative heights, delivering soaring riffs, melodic hooks, and thoughtful reflections on growth and relationships. Featuring singles like “Evergreen”, “Say What You Want”, “Counting Hours”, and their latest track “Nothing’s Stopping Me Now”, the album marked the band’s first Top 10 ARIA appearance and secured over 50,000 Spotify streams on its release day. After a run of tour dates around the country in May, Dear Seattle will arrive at the festival at peak gig fitness.

Adding a shimmering blend of indie pop and guitar driven rock to the bill, Northern NSW and Brisbane trio Eliza & The Delusionals are prepared to deliver a dreamy alternative rock experience. Their 2022 debut album Now & Then earned a 4.5 star review from Rolling Stone Australia and a triple j J Award nomination for Album of the Year, leading to sold out domestic tours and a North American run supporting Silversun Pickups. Their 2024 sophomore record Make It Feel Like The Garden saw the band expand their lush soundscapes, weaving introspective songwriting inspired by time spent on the road overseas. With international tours across North America and Australia, they remain one of the most exciting indie acts around, and fans can expect to hear standout tracks like “Falling For You”.

Rounding out the main lineup, Sydney five piece Liquid Zoo will inject the night with high energy indie rock built for late nights and sweaty rooms. Blending sharp guitars, driving rhythms, and hook heavy vocals with plenty of chaotic edge, they draw inspiration from the style and attitude of The Strokes, the raw early grit of Kings of Leon, and the riff driven ferocity of The Hives. Their sound is fast, loud, and unapologetically electric. Known for turning venues into full blown parties, Liquid Zoo pairs tight musicianship with the explosive intensity of acts like Amyl and the Sniffers and the modern bite of Fontaines D.C.. With new releases on the way, they are kicking down the door of the festival.
