Mark your calendars and prepare for an electrifying night as world-renowned DJ Fisher gears up to headline an exclusive BWS Cool Room gig, celebrating his cult drink brand, Hard Fizz.
It’s fitting that Fisher’s return to the Australian stage is happening in his hometown and promises to be an unforgettable evening.
The Grammy and ARIA-award nominated DJ and producer, known for his infectious energy and chart-topping hits, will take centre stage on Thursday, 15th February, at the Hard Fizz headquarters in Burleigh Heads. This event is part of the BWS Cool Room series, which has previously featured international music sensations like Armani White, surf-rock icons Lime Cordiale, and electronic sensation Memphis LK. The unique aspect of these gigs is that they all take place inside massive, purpose-built-stage-come-fridges, adding an extra layer of coolness to the experience.
An Le, Head of Brand Marketing at BWS, expressed their excitement, stating, “Landing Fisher for our next BWS Cool Room to celebrate Hard Fizz is the ultimate win and a testament to the success we’ve had so far in bringing fans closer to the hottest artists inside the coolest stage in music. BWS Cool Room is all about celebrating the energy and fun of music and drinks, and there isn’t a better artist to help us do this than Fisher!”
To get a chance to attend this exclusive invite-only event, music fans must enter their details via the BWS website. Queensland residents can enter to win double passes, while fans from interstate will be entered into the draw for a Golden Ticket, which includes a double pass to Fisher’s show, flights, one-night accommodation, and a meet and greet. Fisher, born in Queensland, has gained worldwide acclaim for his electrifying DJ sets and chart-topping tracks. His breakout hit, “Losing It,” earned him his first Grammy nomination and has now garnered well over half a billion streams, solidifying its status as one of the biggest dance records of the decade. Fisher’s production style ranges from electrifying house anthems to intricate tech-imbued melodies, always layered with resonating basslines and filtered vocals that resonate with every dancefloor aficionado.
Fisher’s global appeal has led to his residency in Las Vegas and Ibiza, performances at high-profile international music festivals, and even a float appearance at Carnival in Brazil before a staggering 250,000 people. He’s hosted his own South Beach pool party at the Delano Hotel during Miami Music Week and has headlined sets at Coachella.
Commenting on his upcoming gig, Fisher expressed his excitement about returning to his home town, saying, “Having played shows all over the world, I can honestly say there is nothing better than coming home and playing to an Aussie crowd. Aussies just get it. The vibe, the mood, the energy – you know what you’re going to get when you play to a room full of people that just want to have a good time. Also, I have never performed in a giant fridge before! This will be such a cracking gig and a banging party on my home turf. Bring it on.”
“Yeah, I’m pretty psyched to finally play Hard FIZZ Taproom,” he says.
“It’s actually a joke that I haven’t already if I’m honest.
“I’m pumped to play such an intimate gig – don’t get me wrong, the big festivals are insane but it’s going to be electric in that little brewery. “It’s got such a sick vibe – I can’t wait.
He’ll also be playing his own music festival on Coolangatta Beach on May 4 with some 30,000 people
expected to pack the southern Gold Coast shoreline.
