Supercars has unveiled a major entertainment shake-up for this year’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 with the launch of Sound Track, a new live music and festival precinct designed to bring a new vibe to headline artists and an all-day party atmosphere to the heart of the race weekend.

Taking over Macintosh Island inside the circuit, Sound Track transforms one of the Gold Coast 500’s most popular fan zones into a dedicated entertainment hub. The precinct features a blockbuster lineup of live acts and DJs, including Bag Raiders, Havana Brown, Guy Contact, Sneaky Sound System and more. Entertainment within Sound Track will run throughout the afternoons and evenings, giving people a constant soundtrack to race weekend and keeping the area active between the biggest on-track moments.

A Dedicated Entertainment Hub on Macintosh Island

Supercars Executive Chairman and acting CEO Barclay Nettlefold stated that the change reflects the event’s evolution into one of Australian motorsport’s biggest-weekend experiences, delivering a city-wide festival atmosphere that goes beyond a traditional race week schedule with an array of entertainment options.

“The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 has always been more than a race – it is one of the great party weekends on the Australian sporting calendar,” Nettlefold said. “Sound Track takes that to another level. From the moment the racing fires up through to the final set of the night, fans will have live music, DJs and entertainment all around them on Macintosh Island. With Sound Track, we’re bringing more live music, more entertainment and more ways for people to be part of the action.”

Boost Mobile CEO Bobby Geldens also emphasized the impact of the new live music precinct on the overall experience. “This is exactly what the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 is all about – big racing, big energy and a fan experience that feels unmistakably Gold Coast,” Geldens said. “Sound Track gives fans another reason to make a weekend of it, with music and entertainment running right through one of the biggest events of the year.”

Sound Track was officially unveiled at IGNITION, a free public event hosted at The Star Gold Coast that brought drivers, artists, and local identities together to mark the official countdown to the 2026 Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

Repco Supercars Championship drivers Will Brown, Jackson Walls, Declan Fraser, Thomas Randle, Cam Waters, Kai Allen and James Golding joined Gold Coast influencers and athletes, including Bailey Carter from Those Carter Boys, Jack Dale, Zhad Stewart and Emily Ward, to launch the official countdown to race week.

The 2026 Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will take place from 23 to 25 October in Surfers Paradise, supported by Tourism and Events Queensland and Experience Gold Coast. Tickets are currently available through Supercars.com, with people encouraged to secure their place early for three days of street racing, live music and festival-style entertainment in Surfers Paradise.
