The Hills Are Alive …and they’re gonna be well and truly goddamn kicking this time ‘round! The 2018 edition of Victoria’s fave tastemaker music shindig marks the festival’s 10th birthday and the Farm is ramping up for what is set to be its most memorable year yet.
It’s been one hell of a ride for the Hills fam. Throw it back to 2009, when two brothers who grew up on a dairy farm in rural Victoria realised a dream, turning their family home into a mini-mecca of underground music. Back then you had to know someone to purchase a ticket. Twelve bands played for $100 each. Their celebration of good people and great music in a stunning location (and some sweet MySpace invitations) was a hit and The Hills Are Alive was born. These days you can get a ticket without knowing a band but the festival’s ‘friends-of-friends’ philosophy has endured along with the unique Hills community vibe, where mates and soon-to-be pals come together to camp, dance, share drinks and watch no-filter worthy sunsets. Helping to blow out the candles this year will be an incredible batch of Australian talent, from old favourites you’ve partied with on the Hill before, to fresh faces of the future. Staying true to their roots, only 2,000 tickets are up for grabs for their 10thanniversary celebration. The Hills are Alive has sold out for the past 9 years. So, hype up your mates and file 23, 24 and 25 March in your calendar under ‘time of your life’!THE HILLS ARE ALIVE! 10 Year Anniversary Addition Friday 23, Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 March 2018 The Farm – 10 mins from Loch Village | 20 mins from Wonthaggi | 95 mins from Melbourne
