It's The Season of the Friday Long Lunch

Breathing new life into the weekly dining tradition is QT Gold Coast’s innovative Japanese restaurant and bar Yamagen with the launch of Friday Lunch by Asahi.

Friday lunches are having a resurgence on the Gold Coast and they’re no longer reserved solely for the white shoe brigade. Breathing new life into the weekly dining tradition is QT Gold Coast’s innovative Japanese restaurant and bar Yamagen with the launch of Friday Lunch by Asahi.

Yamagen reinvents a traditional Japanese izakaya with a modern twist. It’s a blend of old school kitchen samurai skills and new school chef invention led by culinary master, Adam Lane.

Dishing-out market-fresh sashimi, cocktails you haven’t tried before, share plates that are too good to share, flame-grilled kushiyaki sticks and of course, ice-cold Asahi Dry – the weekly Yamagen Friday Lunch by Asahi is sure to whet your Fri-YAY appetite.

Whether you’re hosting prospective clients or simply lunching-for-leisure, Yamagen promises to deliver cutting-edge cuisine in a seriously cool dining space created by internationally renowned designer, Nic Graham.

It's The Season of the Friday Long Lunch

Popular lunch favourites include the Insta-worthy sashimi tacos, thinly sliced truffle Snapper, house-made Gyoza and Teriyaki Chicken paired with Japanese fusion cocktails and Australia’s largest Japanese whisky range.

The Friday Lunch by Asahi menu includes seven of the restaurants most popular dishes for just $49 per person including an Asahi Dry or glass of wine.

And then, when the lunching is done, it’s time to really let your hair down at the bar with the type of buzz a place gets on a Friday afternoon, when that post-work hype is in the air.

Be sure to embrace the season and book your Yamagen Friday Lunch available every Friday from 12 – 3pm. The restaurant and bar is also open Tuesday through Saturday from 5.30pm til late.
