Jack Daniels 1907 presents Nova's Red Room with the Rubens

Jack Daniel’s 1907, the lighter, sweeter, easy drinking Jack, this November 14 Jack Daniel’s is hosting an exclusive Nova Red Room event headlined by The Rubens and The Preatures. The night will see The Cleveland Street Theatre in Sydney, a place of true character, transformed in to an authentic house party setting – giving guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with their favourite artists as they perform live. The Rubens who have been together for little over a year, have not only been nominated for two ARIA Awards but have had huge success locally and internationally with a sold out tour of the US alongside Grouplove. The band who are comprised of three brothers and their best mate, have a rich, soulful blues sound and an infectious energy.  ‘My Gun’ which starred on the ‘Lone Ranger’ soundtrack and their other hit single ‘Lay It Down’ have both featured in triple j’s Hottest 100. The Rubens comments: “This will be our first headline gig since we were nominated for best ‘Breakthrough Artist’ and ‘Rock Album’ in this year’s ARIA awards.  It’s going to be a big celebration and we’re really looking forward to it.” The Preatures, led by Isabella Manfredi and Gideon Bensen on vocals, are tipped to be one of the biggest Australian bands of 2013 as they combine breathtaking songwriting with addictive performances. It has been a whirlwind year for the group who are receiving international recognition for their latest single ‘Is This How You Feel’ and have recently returned from sold out shows in the US as part of the CMJ Music Marathon. On the night partygoers will also be able to sample the perfect blend of Jack Daniel’s 1907 and cola. This Tennessee whiskey, which is the latest addition to the Jack Daniel’s family, originates from 1907 when Jack Daniel entrusted his famous distillery to his nephew Lem Motlow.  Lem soon introduced a white-labeled lighter version of Jack Daniel’s, which is matured in the cooler areas of the barrelhouse and is bottled at 74 proof.  Since the whiskey does not work its way as deeply into the barrel wood it has a lighter, slightly sweet taste profile, while retaining the exceptional smoothness you would expect from Jack Daniel’s. Jack Daniel’s has a long, distinguished and ongoing history of supporting outstanding music globally and this summer it is set to continue as Jack salutes the lighter side of life with a series of unique musical experiences at the most iconic music festivals across the country. Tickets to this extraordinary event are available through the Jack Daniel’s Facebook page.  For more information and to get involved visit jackdaniels.com/1907.]]>
