It makes it extra special that the Swedish songwriters Max Martin and Shellback have co-written and co-produced the song together with Justin Timberlake,”says Sven Stojanovic, Show Producer of Eurovision Song Contest 2016. “We are proud to welcome one of the world’s greatest artists! It is an honor and an inspiration to all of us,” says Martin Österdahl, executive producer for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The three shows, Semi-Final 1, Semi-Final 2 and the Grand Final, reach more than 200 million people all over the world and are broadcast by nearly 50 countries. The Eurovision Song Contest was initiated by the European Broadcasting Union in the 1950s, after Europe had gone through difficult times. Today, it is an event that proves that music and entertainment have the same potential and strength as sports to create passion and engagement across borders, both in an individual but also on a cross-cultural and social level. The theme for 2016 in Stockholm – Come Together – supports that. This year 42 countries compete and over 1,500 accredited media are reporting from the event.]]>
