Metallica fans in Australia and New Zealand, get ready! The legendary band has officially announced that its record-breaking M72 World Tour will be hitting our shores in November 2025. With performances lined up in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland, this is set to be a tour for the ages.
The M72 Tour, which has been making waves globally since April 2023, promises an unforgettable experience with Metallica performing at both ends of the stadiums. Fans can look forward to the famous Snake Pit, an exclusive area that extends right from the front of the stage, ensuring an up-close and personal concert experience. Enhanced Experiences will also be available, featuring perks like meet-and-greets, backstage tours, food and drinks in the exclusive “Black Box” lounge, early entry, and much more.
For die-hard Metallica fans, the “I Disappear Ticket” is a dream come true. This unique option allows fans to attend all six shows across Australia and New Zealand, and if that’s not enough, travel packages that include tickets and hotel stays will be available in four cities.
Joining Metallica on the 2025 leg of the tour are rock heavyweights Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies, ensuring that the nights will be filled with powerful performances from start to finish.
Metallica Ticket Information and Pre-Sales
Tickets for the highly anticipated shows will go on sale on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 12pm local time. Metallica fan club members get early access, with pre-sales starting on Tuesday, October 29. Various pre-sale opportunities are also available for Vodafone, One NZ, CommBank, Mastercard, and Westfield members.

M72 – A Tour for the Ages
The M72 World Tour has already wowed fans across Europe and North America. Since its debut in Amsterdam in 2023, the tour has played to over three million fans. Critics have raved about the show, with Billboard calling it “an altogether life-affirming experience” and the Los Angeles Times hailing it as “tight and furious.”
This leg of the tour is produced by Live Nation, and as always, Metallica is giving back. A portion of the proceeds from every ticket sold will go to local charities through their All Within My Hands foundation. Since its inception in 2017, the foundation has raised over $15 million USD to support career and technical education, combat food insecurity, and assist in disaster relief efforts.
