The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 is accelerating its hospitality offerings this October with the launch of a premium trackside dining experience designed to bring fans closer than ever to the intense racing action. Queensland’s largest annual sporting event, set for October 24–26 on the streets of Surfers Paradise, has secured a partnership with renowned Gold Coast dining icons, Rick Shores, to introduce this new level of on-track luxury.
This exclusive experience is brought to life by the award-winning team behind Rick Shores, featuring their vibrant Latin American restaurant, Norté. Recently distinguished as one of Australia’s Top 100 Restaurants, Norté will treat guests to a bold and flavourful menu inspired by Latin American street food, featuring delectable tostadas and tacos. Crucially, the menu will also include Rick Shores’ crowd favourite Bug Roll. To complement these culinary delights, guests can anticipate free-flowing French Champagne and handcrafted cocktails, all while soaking up the electric atmosphere right on the edge of the iconic Beach Chicane. This location is famed as one of the most photographed sections of the racetrack, where Supercars will “fly through on two-wheels”.
The integration of world-class cuisine and high-octane sport is a targeted move to enhance the overall spectator journey. Tracey Woodbry, Supercars GM of Corporate Experiences, noted the strategic value of the partnership, stating: “We’re always looking for ways to elevate the fan experience, and this new restaurant offering delivers just that”. Woodbry further highlighted the unique appeal: “Norté brings a fresh, exciting energy to the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, combining world-class cuisine with the thrill of motorsport in a way that’s never been done before”.
The team behind the culinary venture is eager to showcase their unique flavours in such a dynamic, high-energy environment. Laura Loubet, Rick Shore Marketing Manager, expressed immense pride in the new venture: “We’re incredibly proud to bring Norté trackside for this year’s Gold Coast 500”. Loubet emphasized the atmosphere patrons can expect: “It’s a unique opportunity to showcase our Latin American-inspired menu in one of the most exhilarating environments in Australian sport. Fans can expect bold flavours, great vibes, and unforgettable moments just meters away from the racing action on the track.”
The trackside Norté restaurant is expected to be a key attraction at this year’s event. 200,000 patrons are anticipated to attend this year’s event. Beyond the Supercars’ first-ever weekend of Finals racing, off-track entertainment is headlined by performances from The Stafford Brothers and Brooke Evers on Friday night, and a blockbuster DJ set by international icons Groove Armada on Saturday night. The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 takes place from October 24 to 26, with tickets and corporate hospitality packages available through Supercars.com.
