The Pacific Air Show Gold Coast, scheduled from 18 to 20 August 2023, promises to be an awe-inspiring extravaganza as the Surfers Paradise beach sky transforms into the biggest air show to ever take place in Australia. Founder of the Pacific Airshow Gold Coast, Kevin Elliott, could barely contain his excitement as he announced the participation of an impressive array of aircraft from around the globe, showcasing the cutting-edge capabilities of both the Australian Defence Force and the United States military and their military aviators.

A captivating display of power and precision as the RAAF F/A-18F Super Hornets take to the skies. These Top Gun twin-seat fighters are capable of air interception, air combat, close air support, and the interception of enemy supply lines, including shipping.

Adding to the spectacle, the RAAF C-17A Globemaster III, a vital logistics asset for ADF operations, will showcase its versatility and strength. This impressive aircraft enables the rapid deployment of troops, supplies, combat vehicles, heavy equipment, and helicopters anywhere across the globe.

Making their debut in Australia, the US Air Force KC-135R Stratotanker Demo Team will demonstrate the core aerialrefuelling capability of the United States Air Force. This crucial role has excelled for over 60 years, providing refuelling support to Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and allied nation aircraft. Also joining the impressive line up is the US Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey Demo, a remarkable multi-engine, dual-piloted, vertical takeoff and landing tilt-rotor aircraft. The US Air Force C-17A Globemaster III, the most flexible cargo aircraft in the Air Force inventory, will demonstrate rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main operating bases or directly to forward bases in the deployment area. Its ability to perform tactical airlift and airdrop missions, as well as transport patients during aeromedical evacuations, highlights its importance in enhancing worldwide air mobility requirements.

Prepare for a truly jaw-dropping sight as the US Air Force C-5M Super Galaxy takes center stage. As the largest aircraft in the Air Force inventory, this strategic transport aircraft boasts impressive features, including five sets of landing gear, 28 wheels, and four General Electric commercial engines.
