Gold Coast fans, Queens of the Stone Age are dropping hints about a 2024 Aussie tour and our city seems to be on the list

Queens of the Stone Age, the iconic rock band that has captured the hearts of many music fans worldwide, is sending shockwaves of excitement through the Gold Coast and beyond. In a cryptic Instagram post titled “The End is Nero,” the band dropped hints of a likely Australian Tour set for summer of 2024.

The post listed several Australian cities, including Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Torquay, Sydney, Gold Coast, and Brisbane. While the details are shrouded in mystery, the rockers’ and we’ve now got the official announcement below.

Queens of the Stone Age, formed by Joshua Homme against the backdrop of 1990s Palm Desert, California, defies categorization. They have transcended the boundaries of genres, evolving into a musical entity that consistently produces hits. From “No One Knows” to “Little Sister,” “My God is the Sun” to “The Way You Used To Do,” their discography is a testament to their brilliance. Their unmistakable rock sound is infused with the blood, sweat, and dark magical swagger that only Homme and his fellow musicians can conjure.

Recognized as one of the premier live bands worldwide, QOTSA boasts a lineup featuring Joshua Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore. What began as “generator parties” in the desert has grown into sold-out arenas and headlining slots at major summer festivals.
