This morning Gold Coasters have a reason to rejoice as Sir Paul McCartney has announced he will be bringing his highly acclaimed “Got Back” tour to the Gold Coast this November. The Australian Tour will kick off with an intimate arena show in Adelaide, which is surely to hold special significance for McCartney as it marks his return to Australia for the first live performances in six years and its where The Beatles made history in 1964 during their first visit to Australia. An astonishing 350,000 people gathered to catch a glimpse of the iconic band, lining the streets between the airport and Town Hall. 

From Adelaide McCartney will take the stage in Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney and Brisbane before his final show on the Gold Coast at Heritage Bank Stadium on November 4. ?This is the first time for the legendary rocker coming to the Gold Coast,known for his remarkable music career, Paul McCartney is undeniably one of the most successful singer-songwriters and performers of all time. His vast and beloved catalogue includes timeless classics such as “Hey Jude,” “Live and Let Die,” “Band on the Run,” and “Let It Be,” among many others. The Paul McCartney live experience promises to be a treat for any music lover, with a mesmerizing journey through six decades of music, featuring numerous songs from his solo, Wings, and Beatles catalogues.

he “Got Back” tour kicked off in February 2022 with 16 massive shows across the United States. It gained widespread acclaim and reached a historical moment with McCartney’s performance at Glastonbury in June 2022, hailed as the “best gig ever” by the British Times newspaper. Fans and critics who attended the “Got Back” dates were united in their praise for McCartney’s exceptional live performances.

Reflecting on McCartney’s previous tour in Australia in December 2017, the Sydney Morning Herald stated, “If the greatest songs elicit an emotional response too powerful to properly explain, it’s safe to say no review of Paul McCartney’s tour will quite do it justice.” The tour received further recognition as McCartney won the Helpmann Award for Best International Contemporary Concert in 2018, outshining renowned artists like Ed Sheeran.
