Gold Coast community radio station 105.7 Radio Metro is hosting its first radio school training day of 2023 on Monday, February 6. Accepting applications from under-18s, Radio Metro’s radio school takes students through the essentials of hosting and programming a radio show which can even lead to a gig as a radio presenter on the station.
Radio Metro is the only youth community radio station on the Gold Coast and specialises in dance, top 40, R&B, and leftfield music. They’ve been on the air for 21 years, and during that time, they’ve given the Gold Coast’s music and broadcast media-loving individuals an opportunity to share their talents over the airwaves.
Radio Metro is a fantastic place for beginners who are eager to become involved in the music industry, broadcast media, or journalism. The one-day intensive course covers radio announcements, panel writing for radio, and more. Applicants need to provide a short video or voice recording explaining why they want to be on the radio for the chance to participate in the course for free.
