Rudimental unleashed on Australia & New Zealand this May

| We are excited to confirm that alongside her announced support dates on Rudimental’s biggest Australian and New Zealand tour to date; soulful UK songstress Jess Glynne will also join them for their keenly awaited performance at AEC Theatre in Adelaide.

With an inimitable voice that is equal parts ferocious and fragile, Jess Glynne captured the attention of record executives and was promptly signed to Atlantic Records/Warner Music in 2013. Shortly thereafter deep-house producer Route 94 approached Glynne to rewrite and provide vocals for ‘My Love’ that debuted at #1 on the UK Singles Chart and climbed the Australian ARIA Singles Chart top twenty, achieving platinum certification in both countries ‘My Love’ swiftly became 2014’s quintessential summer banger.

With Glynne in high-demand, electronic group Clean Bandit also reached out and collaborated with her on the #1 smash ‘Rather Be’ that was certified 4x platinum in Australia and became the most streamed track in a single week on Spotify in the UK. Both ‘My Love’ and ‘Rather Be’ received nominations at the BRIT Awards for Best British Single with the latter scoring Glynne a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.

Following the blockbuster success of both collaborations, anticipation was at fever pitch for the release of Glynne’s debut album I Cry When I Laugh through Warner Music in August of last year. Expertly balancing the euphoric heights of dance and pop with the emotionally charged heart of soul, I Cry When I Laugh surpassed expectations when it debuted in the top ten of the ARIA Albums Chart and scored major acclaim.

Platinum selling track ‘Hold My Hand’ was shortlisted for ‘Song of the Year’ in the 2015 BBC Music Awards and further singles ‘Take Me Home’ and the platinum triumph ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’ have cemented Glynne as a genre-blending powerhouse. These shows will mark the first time Australian and New Zealand audiences will get to see Jess Glynne perform live and Glynne was adamant that Adelaide not miss out.

Rudimental have topped charts worldwide with the 2013 release of unstoppable debut album Home and it’s multiple-platinum selling singles ‘Waiting All Night’, ‘Feel The Love’ and ‘Not Giving In’. Notching up a Mercury Prize nomination and BRIT Award win with their debut, the world awaited the release of their second album We The Generation (out now through Warner Music) with baited breath. Their sophomore release did not disappoint and solidified Rudimental as a global force of nature, debuting at #4 on the ARIA Albums Chart and setting airwaves ablaze with unstoppable singles ‘Never Let You Go’ (ft. Foy Vance) and ‘Rumour Mill’ (ft. Anne Marie & Will Heard) and Ed Sheeran collaborations ‘Bloodstream’ and the platinum certified ‘Lay It All On Me’.

Rudimental’s electrifying live performances command your attention; the UK quartet is rounded out by a multitude of talented instrumentalists and vocalists that leave no surprise as why their live shows are so highly acclaimed. These will mark their first live performances in New Zealand since 2014 whilst the band scored rave reviews with their Australian headline shows in November and December of last year.

‘No member was stuck in one position for more than ten seconds, and the crowd felt they were part of the action.’ – Music Feeds

‘Indescribably exhilarating and the best party in town.’
???? – Sydney Morning Herald

‘The collective’s set, which ran right through their debut album Home was diverse, yet cohesive filling the space between drum and bass driven bangers with laid back soulful numbers that leant rather than leaped away from their collective strengths and showed off their array of talented touring singers.’ – Tone Deaf

Joining both Rudimental and Glynne for their Australian shows will be Sydney soul sensation Thandi Phoenix who has impressed audiences at Bluesfest, Soulfest, Splendour In The Grass and supported R&B star Tinashe on a national tour. Previously collaborating with the likes of Ta-ku, B-Wise and Coin Banks, Thandi’s stunning debut single ‘Come Around’ showcases the true celestial beauty of her vocals and sets a high standard for her forthcoming EP.

Time and time again audiences have proven they just can’t get enough of Rudimental; their live shows are a dazzling and multi-sensory display of raw talent that have a history of selling out. Joined by Jess Glynne for the entire tour and Thandi Phoenix for their Australian shows, their Australian and New Zealand performances this May look set to do the same.
