Save the date for Splendour in the Grass 2024, celebrating 22 years of spectacular music, art and good times. at Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands. A festival experience that transcends the ordinary

As the Australian winter cools the air, the anticipation for Splendour in the Grass 2024 heats up. Scheduled from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st July at Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands, with onsite camping from 17th July, this year’s Splendour promises an escape from the mundane to a world of musical enchantment.

Celebrating its 22nd year, Splendour in the Grass has firmly established itself as a beacon in Australia’s music and arts scene, comparable to international giants like Coachella and Glastonbury. This festival is not just an event; it’s a cultural phenomenon that shapes the musical landscape of the Southern Hemisphere.

Recalling the Splendour 2023, we witnessed an array of unforgettable performances. Latin music sensation J Balvin made his Australian debut, bringing a reggaeton fever to the Amphitheatre. British MC Little Simz dazzled with her lyrical prowess, while Flume’s set was an artistic marvel, featuring guest appearances from Tove Lo and Tkay Maidza. The iconic Lizzo also delivered a show-stopping moment, signing a fan’s poster in the middle of her set.

Splendour is more than music; it’s a celebration of diverse art forms. Attendees last year experienced Tupacman’s immersive art, danced at the Rainbow Bar’s queer takeovers, and delved into the rich traditions of local First Nations culture at the Ngarindindi Dance Ground. These experiences exemplify Splendour’s commitment to showcasing a wide spectrum of cultural expressions.

The festival’s history is studded with landmark performances. From Kanye West’s 2011 set to Coldplay’s return after their 2003 debut, Splendour has been the stage for many global music icons. Memorable moments include Mark Ronson’s tribute to Amy Winehouse in 2015 and Florence + the Machine’s captivating show. Outkast’s 2014 performance and Childish Gambino’s spiritual awakening in 2019 are etched in the festival’s legacy.

As we look forward to Splendour 2024, the excitement is palpable. Who will join the ranks of these legendary performances? Only time will tell. To stay updated, follow Splendour in the Grass on social media and keep an eye out for the lineup announcement.

For the seasoned Splendour-goers, a special opportunity awaits. Those who have attended the festival five times or more can sign up as a Splendour Member before 30th January 5pm, ensuring a chance to secure tickets for the upcoming festival.
