Jaggar Bartholomew, son of Australian surfing legend Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew, is facing a harrowing medical battle after being diagnosed with Nervus Intermedius Neuralgia, an extremely rare and excruciating neurological condition.
The illness, which causes unrelenting pain, has left the Gold Coast local completely debilitated. The nerves on the left side of his skull, neck, jaw, and vertebrae are in a constant state of distress, sending searing, lightning-like painthroughout his body. For the past seven weeks, Jaggar has been unable to function, and for the last month, he has been admitted full-time to Gold Coast Hospital, where medical specialists are working tirelessly to manage his condition
A Condition Few Understand
Nervus Intermedius Neuralgia is an exceptionally rare disorder, meaning treatment options are limited, and relief has been difficult to find. The condition causes continuous, severe pain, making even the simplest tasks impossible. Jaggar is now completely bedridden, facing not only the overwhelming physical toll of the illness but also severe fatigue and the emotional weight of chronic pain.
Once an active and energetic individual, Jaggar’s daily life has been transformed into a gruelling fight. His road to recovery will require long-term medical treatment, rehabilitation, and significant financial support.
Community Rallies to Support Jaggar
In response to his mounting medical and living expenses, a fundraising campaign has been launched to assist with Jaggar’s care and recovery. Donations will be securely managed through The Club at Parkwood Village, ensuring that every dollar goes directly toward supporting his fight against this debilitating condition.
Rabbit Bartholomew and his family, friends, and supporters are urging the community to come together and help ease the burden on Jaggar as he battles for his health and quality of life.
Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference.
