Sophie Ellis-Bextor Announces 2026 Australian Tour

Sophie Ellis-Bextor is returning to Australia in February 2026 for an unforgettable tour featuring her greatest hits and new songs.

British disco-pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor has officially announced her return to Australia in February 2026, bringing her unmistakable glittery energy to stages across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

The tour will showcase a dazzling mix of noughties favourites and bold new tracks from her latest album, Perimenopop, released just last week. Fans can expect to dance the night away to enduring hits like “Murder On The Dancefloor”, “Take Me Home” and “Get Over You”, as well as new anthems such as “Taste” and “Dolce Vita”.

With a career that spans over two decades and seven studio albums, Ellis-Bextor has cemented her status as one of the UK’s most beloved pop stars. From the folk and prog-rock hints of her earlier releases to her latest synth-driven celebration of pop empowerment, her sound continues to evolve with confidence and charisma. Hailed by DIY as “the queen of disco pop”, her newest record captures the joy of embracing who you are, no matter the decade.

Kicking off in Melbourne on 6 February at the Forum, the tour moves through Sydney’s Roundhouse, Brisbane’s Tivoli, and wraps up at the Ice Cream Factory in Perth on 12 February. The shows promise a euphoric, feel-good atmosphere that fans have come to expect from Ellis-Bextor, who has previously performed at renowned festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude and Australia’s own Splendour In The Grass.

Joining Sophie on the road for all cities except Perth is Australian-born, English-based indie pop artist Holiday Sidewinder. Known for her synth-driven disco flair, Holiday adds a perfect local spark to the already star-studded tour lineup.

Ellis-Bextor’s timeless appeal has recently surged once again, with her early 2000s classic “Murder on the Dancefloor” enjoying a pop culture revival after its feature in the 2023 cult film Saltburn and a buzzy cover by Royel Otis. This resurgence has introduced her music to a whole new generation of listeners, making this upcoming tour a celebration for both long-time devotees and fresh fans alike.

From her Brit-pop roots in Theaudience to her solo breakthrough with 2001’s Read My Lips, which reached #2 in the UK charts, Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s journey has been one of artistic evolution and glittery resilience. Now, with Perimenopoplighting up playlists and her 2026 Australian tour on the horizon, she shows no signs of slowing down.
