Three years after his sold out Spilt Milk tour, Post Malone is making his massive return to Australia, and this time he is bringing a whole lot of country with him. The global superstar is headlining the highly anticipated Strummingbird Festival 2026, ready to turn the event into an unforgettable celebration of country music.
Post Malone has spent over a decade collecting five American Music Awards and record breaking hits, but his recent creative shift is all about Nashville. His Grammy nominated Best Country Album, F-1 Trillion, saw him team up with absolute legends like Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, and even Strummingbird alumni Jelly Roll. Fans can expect a massive setlist featuring these new collaborative sounds alongside his undeniable solo anthems like “Sunflower”, “Rockstar” and “Circles”.
He is not the only American heavyweight making the trip for the 2026 festival. Multi-platinum country artist Bailey Zimmerman is joining the bill, bringing his famously gritty sound and hits from his viral debut Religiously. The Album., which spawned massive tracks like “Fall In Love” and “Where It Ends”. Zimmerman has been skyrocketing in popularity, especially after his 2025 release Different Night Same Rodeo, featuring a standout collaboration with Luke Combs, and his internet breaking cover of Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” at Stagecoach.
The international talent runs deep across the entire bill. North Carolina musician Cooper Alan will be delivering rowdy singalongs, witty humour, and anthems like “Plead The Fifth” and “Take Forever (Hally’s Song)”, bringing the unfiltered authenticity of Nashville honky tonks straight to Australia. Two acts currently climbing the Billboard Top 100 are also making the trip, making the Strummingbird lineup even harder to ignore. LA based country superstar Stella Lefty will deliver a blissed out set packed with feel good tracks like “Boston” and “Thinking ’bout You”. Meanwhile, Texan outfit Dexter & The Moonrocks are set to unleash their self coined Western Space Grunge, offering plenty of rock driven firepower and DIY grit. Add in Grammy nominated songwriter Cam, known for her beautiful vocals and her recent work on BeyoncĂ©’s COWBOY CARTER, the raw Appalachian edge of Cigarettes @ Sunset and their ‘Possum Rock’, Californian acoustic artist Noah Rinker, and CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2025 alumna Kaitlin Butts, and you have a phenomenal US roster.

Of course, Strummingbird is also celebrating our homegrown heroes. Brad Cox needs little introduction, ready to bring fan favourites like “Lake House” and tracks from his heartland rock pivot Endemic Intelligence in Multiple Dimensions. The Aussie lineup is packed with serious talent, including back to back CMAA Female Artist of the Year Max Jackson running with her electrifying live show, 2026 Countrytown Breakthrough Artist of the Year nominee Briana Dinsdale, and Sydney’s Sons of the East, who return to local stages fresh off 750 million global streams. Central Queensland cattle station worker turned sensation Mack Geiger, the earthy Sara Berki, and country DJ Willie Pake will ensure the bootscootin’ never stops.
The festival takes the local flavour seriously, putting a spotlight on talent from each tour stop’s own backyard. Ballarat crowds will catch modern pop and folk country infusions from Lewis Love, Newcastle gets the powerful traditional language and acoustic storytelling of Gamilaraay artist Loren Ryan, and the Sunshine Coast is treated to Sammy White, whose voice is becoming one of the most talked about in modern Australian country. Keeping boots moving between sets across all three stops, Strummo legend Maddison Glover is returning to lead the famous line dancing sessions that had crowds kicking up dust last year.
