Stylish Queenslanders have something to look forward to in 2021, with organisers announcing the return of Queensland’s premier fashion event, the Brisbane Fashion Festival.
The new-look event is a celebration of Brisbane, Queensland and Australian Fashion taking to the runway and streets from the 23rd of August until the 25th.
Taking over King George Square and surrounds the iconic central location will allow for the largest runway in the event’s history, inviting hundreds of fashion lovers to revel in the stunning designs while keeping the event safe.
Brisbane Fashion Festival will showcase the brightest and most talented of our local designers and a slew of iconic names in Queensland Fashion and give a platform for up and coming talent alongside these marquee brands.
Festival Director Lindsay Bennett is delighted to unveil the initial plans for the event, “Just a fashion reinvents itself, we’re once again known by our original name that was established with the event’s inception in 2006.
“With the need to cancel the Fashion Festival in 2020 due to the pandemic, and all the difficulties experienced by local businesses during that time, there is greater excitement than ever before to stage Queensland’s premier celebration of local fashion talent,”
“We invite fashion lovers to rediscover the beauty and quality of Queensland and Australia’s incredible designers while rediscovering all the amazing things our city has to offer.” Mr Bennett said.
Event organisers also took the time to thank long term exiting partner Mercedes Benz for their invaluable and unwavering support over the past fourteen years while again Welcoming in new principal partner Brisbane Economic Development Agency.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the Brisbane Fashion Festival was a standout on Brisbane’s annual event calendar. Its highly anticipated return in 2021 would uplift the creative industry and excite the city’s most fashion-forward residents.
