Positioned in the heart of South Bank, the hotel is a stone’s throw away from the Cultural Forecourt, Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Museum and Streets Beach – perfect for visitors looking to experience the cultural and culinary mecca that Brisbane’s south side has become.
We arrived and checked in to a Superior King room with a great view overlooking Musgrave Park and decided to kick back and enjoy a nice refreshment,
The rooms are spacious and with all the necessary comforts for a short or long stay for business or pleasure.
After an hour or two of relaxing, we took advantage of the Novotels great location and took a stroll to Southbank Markets. We spent the afternoon looking around and doing a little bit of shopping, knowing full well we could just stroll back to the room and drop off our goodies anytime.
As dinner approached, it was time to head back and freshen up ready to make our way downstairs for dinner at Spice Central Kitchen and Bar.A great place with a wonderful atmosphere and they specialise in a range of dishes all prepared in the view of guests.
The food was delicious, and the staff made a striking impression taking care of us during dinner, and the meals arrived quickly and thoroughly presented.
After Dinner, we’re off to see a show at North by North West at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, another short stroll ( 600m )from the hotel. QPAC is often the home of entertainment for Brisbane with a fantastic range of entertainment all year round.
Our short staycation in Brisbane is something that will stay with us; it felt like a little vacation without the airfare, even if it was moments from home.
The team at Novotel Brisbane Southbank really set the property apart, from the beginning everyone was friendly and intent on making the stay the nicest as possibleÂ
