The Glitz on the Gold Coast at Stage One International Film Festival and Awards

Well, The Stage is set for a night of glitz and glamour like no other with the Film Industry gearing up for the Stage One International Film Festival held at Warner Brothers Movie World, on the 27th of February.
Our city known for its white sandy beaches and relaxed atmosphere is fast becoming recognised as the next top destination to make your blockbuster movie. With franchises such as Thor, King Kong and Pirates of the Carribean all being filmed on the Gold Coast.
The Stage One International Film Festival is one of the premier events that showcases Australian and International talent within the movie, music and fashion industries by combining them into one exciting event designed to bring the Glitz of  Hollywood to the Gold Coast.
 
The red carpet will be rolled out ready for the industries best and brightest attending on the evening.
 
Headlining this year’s event is three piece Irish-Australian electro-house group The Potbelleez best known for their hit song “Don’t Hold Back”. With supporting acts including 24-year-old New Zealand-born singer/ songwriter Ngara and up and coming four piece electro progressive rock band Pluvio and Punk Rock band The Gastons.
 
The event is sure to be a highlight for the city and industry, but more so for some lucky winners who will take away awards on the night in the following categories: Australian Music Videos, Australian Short Films, International Short Films and the One Shot Film (Worldwide).
 
The festival is celebrating its second year in 2016 with grand plans for the future and has been made possible by some amazing support from organisations such as Screen Queensland, The Gold Coast City Council, Movie World and The Queensland Government.
