Situated just above Brisbane’s CBD is a captivating boutique hotel with equal parts character and luxury; a real hidden gem, The Inchcolm by Ovolo is everything you’re looking for on your next Staycation or Business Trip to the river city.

On arrival, you’re instantly transported to a 1920’s martini lounge which happens to double as your reception, where you can order a martini and check in simultaneously, something that should be widely available across the hotel industry.

The timeless design of The Inchcolm Bar reflects the properties philosophy, dripping in unique heritage finishes, echoing a bygone era so vividly brought back to life, that subtle undertones of the roaring ’20s can almost be heard; throughout the hotel, giving the atmosphere an air of class and excitement.

The Inchcolm Bar is also a great place to enjoy a meal; the stunning decor, great food and friendly staff certainly make your experience a comfortable one.

The design is influenced by the buildings unique history, constructed in 1880 by Dr John Thomson, a pioneering surgeon; the Inchcolm was then redeveloped 20 years later into a medical practice and home where Dr Thomson treated patients such as General Douglas MacArthur, the American General who came to Brisbane to take command of the Pacific War against the Japanese.

Dr Thomson and his socialite wife Marie would welcome their patients into their practice and home in truly 20’s fashion- with generous helpings of swing jazz and sweet vermouth.\

Making your way to your suite one of the fifty at the property, you’re greeted by a style of modern luxury and characteristics only found at The Inchcolm or an Upper East Side apartment.
The suites are a perfect balance of unique decor and modern amenities, with large and luxurious bedding; the best in technology and the perks of in-room cocktails are sure to make your stay something memorable.
