It’s been a while since we have heard from the Thundamentals, but with the drop of their first single in four years it’s now time for the accompanying video to ” Top of The World”.
The band said , “To us, feeling ‘on top of the world is relative. We wanted to take the focus of this video away from ourselves – to shine some light on the incredible creatives that Sydney has to offer – each on their way to the ‘top’.
“Local brands, designers, creative directors, skaters, musicians, film crew – everyone on their own journey, figuring out what success means to them. We were all once growing up, living for the small wins. It’s an honour to share this experience with the team that worked on this video, and we hope they & our fans each feel ‘on top of the world’ with the final product.”
This song signals a change in direction for the group musically and aesthetically a new soundscape with their unique style and produced by long-term collaborate Carl Dimataga and DJ Morgs.
The track embraces the small wins – the ones that mean the most when you’re growing up and figuring out where your passions lie. Encompassing that ‘on top of the world’ feeling you get as a young person trying out new styles, experiences and even relationships, Thundamentals created this track as an ode to their youth.
