An immersive new art experience is set to open this October on the Gold Coast, inviting audiences to witness more than just visual storytelling—it’s an emotional voyage through lived experience, healing, and shared humanity.
Renowned Australian artist Tracie Eaton has officially announced the launch of her latest and most personal exhibition to date, The Stories. This bold and deeply moving collection draws from the real-life experiences of individuals from all walks of life, showcasing the resilience of the human spirit through a powerful 16-piece series.
Spanning two years of intimate interviews, Eaton gathered raw, honest, and sometimes confronting stories from people around the world. Each one speaks of pain and perseverance, heartbreak and hope. These narratives have been transformed into original artworks, culminating in an exhibition that doesn’t just depict life—it holds it.
“Every brushstroke in this collection carries someone’s truth – their pain, their strength, their joy,” Eaton explains. “The Stories is a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit. My hope is that each person who walks through this exhibition not only connects with the artwork but sees themselves in it. Because ultimately, art has the power to heal, to unite, and to remind us that we’re never alone in our experiences.”

Among the 16 works, one painting stands out for its deeply personal resonance. It tells Eaton’s own story—a vulnerable chapter in her life that unfolded in 2024 when she underwent a partial breast removal and lumpectomy. The physical transformation, though significant, was just the beginning of a larger journey: one of identity, self-reflection and empowerment.
“There have been profoundly confronting moments where I have stood in front of the mirror and know that everything I thought I knew about myself had changed,” Eaton shares. “But instead of losing something, I found a deeper part of me. That’s what this painting is about. It’s not just my story—it’s anyone’s who has faced themselves and chosen to rise.”
This inclusion of her own experience doesn’t just add a personal layer—it brings the entire exhibition full circle. By positioning herself as both artist and subject, Eaton underscores the exhibition’s core message: vulnerability is strength, and every story deserves to be seen.
Beyond the gallery walls, The Stories also aims to make a real-world impact. Eaton has committed 5% of all profits from the event series to five community and humanitarian organisations: The Carers Foundation, Live Rural Limited, Soul Freedom Movement, SOP (Serving Our People), and Destiny Rescue. This charitable component reflects Eaton’s broader vision—using art as a platform for connection, healing, and social change.
The Stories, Unveiled
The official unveiling will take place during an exclusive, invitation-only VIP night on Saturday 25th October 2025. Held at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Grand Ballroom, Hope Island, the event promises an unforgettable evening. Beginning at 6:00pm, guests will experience the private reveal of the original artworks, each one bringing the participants’ stories vividly to life. The evening will continue with live performances, entertainment, canapés, beverages, and a live auction running until 11:00pm.
For those unable to attend the launch in person, a five-day virtual exhibition will follow, showcasing the full collection online and at select locations across the Gold Coast. Merging digital technology with traditional fine art, this format allows for broader engagement and community access, reinforcing the exhibition’s mission to connect and uplift.
