Vance Joy’s ‘Fire and the Flood’ Tour has completely sold out. All three shows across the weekend including Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne and two shows at Sydney’s Opera House were confirmed sell outs months back and now all tickets to the Brisbane show have been snapped up, making the ‘Fire and the Flood’ tour officially a global sell out! The Australian ‘Fire and the Flood’ Tour kicked off in Vance’s hometown Melbourne on Saturday night at Margaret Court Arena and was immediately followed on Sunday 24 April with an incredible night at the iconic Sydney Opera House, which saw the musician invite two very special guests to the stage. Australian music legend Paul Kelly joined Vance Joy on stage for a performance of the Beatles’ ‘Two Of Us’. Talented local artist Emma Louise graced the stage for Bob Dylan’s ‘Lay Lady Lay’.  Both were incredibly special moments with the stunning Sydney Opera House as the backdrop. The Brisbane Riverstage show this Saturday 30 April will see Vance Joy play to his biggest headline crowd ever with 8,500 people due to pack the amphitheatre for what is set to be one very special night. The Brisbane show will be the final on the ‘Fire and the Flood’ Tour internationally and will wrap up what has been a huge three year touring schedule for Vance Joy which included the main support spot on the Taylor Swift1989 World Tour. The ‘Fire and the Flood’ Tour will have notched up a total of 59 shows across the USA, Canada and Australia. All of the 59 shows completely sold out with over 150,000 tickets moved across the entire tour. The success of the ‘Fire and the Flood’ Tour was highlighted when Pollstar recently revealed the tour has been ranked at #54 of the Top 100 Tours of 2016; proving the Melbourne artist has certainly made his mark globally. Vance Joy was the most played act on American alternative rock radio last year with three Top 5 singles in the charts. His debut album Dream Your Life Away debuted at #1 on the local ARIA Album Chart and in the Top 20 in the US. Locally the album is certified Platinum, Gold in the US (over 500,000 sales) and Platinum in Canada. Accolades do not stop there though with singles ‘Mess Is Mine’ sitting at Platinum in Australia and Gold in the US and Canada and ‘Georgia’ a very solid twice Platinum locally. Probably the most impressive though is Vance Joy’s seminal single ‘Riptide. The song is the current record holder for the longest standing single in the Top 100 of the ARIA Singles Chart locally and in the US became the second longest charting single in history with 43 weeks in the top 100. It is six times Platinum in Australia, three times Platinum in the US and five times Platinum in Canada. Add to that, Vance Joy was recognised at last year’s ARIA Awards where he was named Best Male Artist. We congratulate Vance Joy on what has been an incredible journey so far and can’t wait to see what the future brings.]]>
