VIOLENT SOHO announce WACO Tour

Violent Soho are heading out on tour this May in support of their highly anticipated forthcoming album WACO (out Friday 18 March through I OH YOU). The huge national WACO Tour will see Violent Soho jump up to their biggest ever headline rooms. It’s only right that with this leap into larger rooms, Violent Soho would bring along some hometown friends and with that in mind DZ Deathrays and Dune Rats are coming along for the ride, in what promises to be one of the most insane line ups of the year and what will without a doubt be a party not to be missed. “It’s the best lineup we’ve ever been able to put together. Our manager even said it would never happen. Now our tour manager is devastated.” Violent Soho “It’s the result of over a decade of friendship and countless drunken discussions leading to the most destructive tour of this century. We’ve already reserved our post tour hospital beds.”DZ Deathrays “It’s f*cking sick to go on tour with our mates Violent Soho and DZ Deathrays! All three of our bands started out in Brisbane. DZ took us on our first tour ever and we’ve toured with Soho before plus they’re both the sickest bands in our eyes! Can’t fucking wait for May!!”Dune Rats For the last three years or so, the four friends from Mansfield (4122) who make up Violent Soho have spent most of their time touring hard off the back of their wildly well-received LP Hungry Ghost which propelled the band into the hearts and stereos of many around the world.   In August 2015, “Soho” re-entered The Shed Recording Studios in Brisbane with producer and friend Bryce Moorhead to begin working on their next record. They eventually resurfaced with 11 songs that as a collection they’ve labelled WACO – the fourth full length album from the band. With fans already lapping up lead singles ‘Like Soda’ (which came in at #15 in the Hottest 100) and ‘Viceroy’– there’s plenty more to look forward to. With the WACO Tour now announced and the record itself soon to drop (Friday 18 March), Violent Soho are steadying themselves for what promises to be yet another crazy year full of good times and even better memories. Hold tight, things are just kicking off. ‘One of the most original and prevalent rock bands of modern Australian history…’ – Tone Deaf ‘…it’s just one of those nights where the ludicrous amount of love in the room is only surpassed by the brilliant rock’n’roll thrown forth to fan the flames of desire, a heady mix of pride and passion. Hell f*ck yeah indeed.’ – The Music ‘There’s a refreshing honesty in the way Violent Soho wear their influences like badges of honour.’ – Rolling Stone Tickets available through VIOLENTSOHO.COM Venue & Ticket Agency Pre-sale: Thu 3 March @ 9am – 11:59pm local time (or until allocation sold out) General Public On Sale: Fri 4 March @ 9am local time
