Violent Soho single 'Covered in Chrome' certified gold

Violent Soho’s much-loved single ‘Covered in Chrome’ has reached certified gold status (35,000+ sales) in Australia. Having been the second single to be lifted from their acclaimed third record Hungry Ghost (also gold certified) in late 2013, ‘Covered in Chrome’ quickly captured the hearts of people all over Australia, resulting in echoes of “HELL F*CK YEAH” being heard from festivals, venues, backyards and cars all over Australia. We’re absolutely psyched to hear a song which in essence is so rough/harsh reaching this sort of popularity. Not ones to take a moment to rest, the four friends from Mansfield (4122) have just kicked off their huge WACO Tour, having torn apart venues in Brisbane and Melbourne last week and over the weekend. There’s plenty more to come and no doubt Violent Soho will continue to cause chaos (along with supports DZ Deathrays, Dune Rats & Gooch Palms —- insane line up!) over the rest of the country before hitting up Splendour in the Grass. In further tour news, late last week Violent Soho announced that they would be returning to the USA and Canada for their first North American tour in six years. Having lived in Brooklyn while signed to Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth’s label Ecstatic Peace!, Violent Soho won the hearts of many as they toured with acts like Dinosaur Jr, Built To Spill, Alice in Chains & The Bronx. The response to the band’s return has been truly overwhelming and points towards what should be a pretty insane run of dates. To mark the beginning of the WACO Tour, we’re also pleased to present the next single to be pulled from the band’s ARIA chart topping fourth record in the form of ‘So Sentimental’ – keep an eye/ear out for it!
