The sparks are flying again as Kristen Bell and Adam Brody return for Season 2 of Nobody Wants This. The first trailer teases another round of heart, humour and hard truths as the unlikely romance between podcast host Joanne and unconventional (and hot) rabbi Noah heads into deeper territory.
Season 1 saw Joanne and Noah’s chemistry catch everyone including themselves completely off guard. From disbelieving siblings like Morgan (Justine Lupe) and Sasha (Timothy Simons), to Noah’s wary sister-in-law Esther (Jackie Tohn), no one expected their bond to outlast the obstacles. But their spark proved stronger than anything standing in their way.
Now, with the trailer for Season 2 officially out, fans get a first look at Joanne and Noah trying to blend their lives and families together. But as the teaser reminds us, “their differences still exist and can’t be ignored.” It’s not just about falling in love against the odds anymore. It’s about staying in love despite them.
The upcoming season is set to premiere on 23 October 2025, with Erin Foster back at the helm as creator. Showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan also return, alongside an impressive list of executive producers including Steven Levitan, Kristen Bell, Sara Foster, Danielle Stokdyk, Jeff Morton and Nora Silver. Oly Obst executive produces for 3arts, with 20th Television producing the series.
Alongside the core cast, Season 2 welcomes an exciting lineup of guest stars: Leighton Meester, Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, Arian Moayed, Kate Berlant and Seth Rogen. Additional familiar faces include Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Sherry Cola, D’Arcy Carden and Shiloh Berman.
With its sharp wit, relatable emotional messiness and standout performances, Nobody Wants This continues to explore what happens when love doesn’t follow the rules — but just might be worth the chaos.
